oh man, sometimes I just have to laugh at grand schemes
which involve data modeling down to this level of detail.
99% of the time, even if there are common objects that
everyone can agree on, actually *doing* something useful
with them requires yet-another-XML-DTD for the task of
interest, and every player will have a different take on what
the relevant specs should be.
But I suppose we shouldn't be pessimistic. Should we write
to them and request that 'P' be reserved for paragliding?
And that subcodes for foot-launched vs. powered launch
flight are needed? And that 'S' clearly should have been
reserved for a much more important recreational activity
than "swimming" ? What were they thinking?
