Hugh,
My secret is that I am a nice person and it takes me three full evenings of approxiately 3 hours each evening for me to print off the flyers on my own color ink jet printer.? I donate the cost of the ink and paper.? The paper isn't much but?it takes one ink cartridge per month at a cost of $38.00.? My boyfriend is the hang glider and because of his job he has not been able to donate as much time as some others to work on the Mingus Mountain camp site.? So this is my way of contributing.
I know what you mean by costs.? After the first month I printed?when I printed out the?newsletters?on my machine and it took three days just to print my boyfriend suggested I go to kinkos.? I had already put in several days on creating the news leter.? Then I went to Kinkos and it would cost severl hundred dollars.? I told my boyfriend that I was going to do them in Black and White and he had a fit.? He said that the color photos made the newsletter.? So I told him he had to help by spending at least two of the three nights printing them out.
Since I will not be doing the Newsletter after this month I can't say if the new editor will be printing them out in color or not.?
I don't think we are getting your news letter.? I know we would like to see it.? We pass around out?news letters from?other associations?at our monthly meeting for members to take a?look at.
We are having a big Fly-in this weekend at Mingus Mountain.? It is to celabrate 30 years of flying from Mingus and the camp site we have been putting in with a block house type toilet.? All the guys have been working very hard for over three years to do this.? There is still a bit more work to be done on the camp sites but we have come a long way.? Red Bull is going to be at the event and I believe some on from the USHGA.? I will be going up tomorrow morning.? I would thin that the next newsletter would have photos of the event.
Have a great Labor Day weekend,

Thanks, Jeannine.? By the way, one thing that stands out in your newsletter is the color pictures.? How do you afford it?? Our editor is envious, 'cause Kinko's charges maybe $1 for black and white (per newsletter, folded, etc.) and maybe $6-8 for color, so we view it as unaffordable.? What's your secret? - Hugh P.S.? Is AHGA getting our newsletter?? If not, I'll make sure you do...

I appreciate your comments on the newsletter.? Last September I agreed to take it over for a year.? My year is now up.? I just finished the September issue last night.? I will make the?name and?address change for this issue?and let the new editor know about it as I turn things over to him.
Thank you,
Jeannine
