I literally cannot remember the last time that there were over 10 pilots at the Pulpit. But today, the turnout included at least seven PG pilots (Austin, Curtis, Fish, Tom C, Richard G were those that I know/met), as well as six HG pilots (Bacil, Alan, Bari, Ryan, Luke, and myself). The PG contingent kicked a$$ : Austin flew to Greencastle, while Tom and Richard flew 70 miles to Phoenix MD north of Baltimore. Fantastic!
Alan was the early HG pilot in the air, at about 12:30pm. He flew for a bit over an hour, topping out at about 2000' above launch. Then there was a hiatus as conditions backed off quite a bit... But things improved around 4pm, and Bari got a nice 1:40 flight. I don't know the details of Luke and Ryan's flights, but hopefully they made the drive worthwhile.
I chose not to fly: I'm being pretty picky, and this just didn't seem like the best conditions for a return to the Pulpit after three-ish years. There will be another day!
While I have lots of videos, I only took a couple pics. I'll post a few of the latter tomorrow. If I have time, I'll do a few frame grabs from the videos and post those as well.
Very fun day!!
Cheers,
MarkC
