Kite Blossom Festival

Hi all,
Just a remind that the Blossom Kite Festival will occur this Saturday the 25th from 10AM to 4:30 PM. (The rain day is Sunday the 26th at the same time.)
We are welcome to kite our gliders during the festival. Hang gliders are also welcome to set up and display their wing. Our kiting area should be north of the Washington Monument in the Public Field. https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mi ... sp=sharing

This is a great opportunity to kite our wings with a spectacular backdrop of the monuments and city. Any level of pilot is welcome to bring their wing. It also gives us an opportunity to chat with the public about our sports and introduce them to it.

For those planning to come, I ask that you remember to bring any proper safety gear, including gloves to protect your hands from the lines and a helmet. Looking forward to a fun day on the Mall!

Brief update. The kite festival on the Mall has been moved to Sunday the 26th due to anticipated rain on the 25th. Same times and place on the 26th.
