Woodstock looks amazing all day tomorrow (Aug 2nd, 2022). WNW @ 15 to 20 mph all the way to 6.5K. Any takers?

What a day it was at Woodstock.
John McAlister and I got to the LZ at 12:45. Chatted a bit and then I loaded my glider on his truck and we went to the launch. At the launch it was looking all "pretty" and we started setting up our gliders. Mid way to setup we chatted and talked about XC flights out from Woodstock and a good half hour went by and we realized it was already 1:45 so got back to finishing setup.
At 2:20PM I told John that Joe Schad might be coming to help out. John said he could help me launch and I said I could help him and self launch but he insisted and I picked up the glider with John on my right wing, got to the launch and 30 seconds later was up in the air. I turned south and half a mile out from launch found a thermal and got up to 3K. John couldn't hear me on the radio so I decided to fly back to launch so he could see me. I saw him setting up so I circled around launch. After waiting a bit I headed north and few moments later John launched with help of Joe.
While going towards signal knob the first thermal took me to almost 4400 and I could tell there was some inversion as i stopped climbing so I headed north. When I got to reservoir, I saw John at the Edinburg Gap and he seemed like maybe 3500 MSL and I thought he was going to jump the gap and run the ridge so I turned and headed south. Shortly after John left the gap and started to head north and I met him half way as I was heading south. I turned around and followed him back to the reservoir. I was basically just hanging around him taking snaps and recording clips.
After John went for the landing, I came back on the ridge as I was almost over LZ and thought I should complete my south leg at least up to the gap so I did that. There was some broken lift but the goal was to get to the gap and head back so that's exactly what I did. As it was a "zero workout" flight so even after 2.5 hours I felt as fresh or maybe even fresher than I did at time of launch
Below is the track from today.
