Woodstock Sunday March 20th

Post by XCanytime »

The 1st day of Spring I believe. It is looking good for soaring flights. Hope to see many pilots there if the outlook holds. Bacil

Kinda/sorta thinking about it....

Not thrilled by the G20+ currently on the NWS surface map, beyond sunset. But things could change, maybe the front will blow through sooner than expected.

Or, maybe just go out to see friends and help out.

Since no interest I'm gonna make a few social calls in the valley after a stop at launch around 11:30A. Bacil

It does look like an epic kinda day, but I'm out...

Peak surface gusts are forecast to be 28, and they don't drop below 20 until 11pm. The ADDS 3k map shows increasing conditions by 3pm. "Ya never know unless ya go", but it just doesn't seem like a high-percentage day. At least for the kind of flight I'd like to have.
