Flight to Virginia

Post by Paul Tjaden »

Don't have time for a long post. Got to get back to Highland for another great day!

Flew south with Lauren yesterday. PK got held up near Ridgely and we got separated so he was on his own. Flight was looking pretty good but Lauren freaked on me just north of Salsbury when she thought the town looked too big to cross like it was NYC or something. Anyway, I flew on to a landing about 14.5 miles south of the Virginia line for 82.4 miles. That's a new site record for flights to the south but still about 20 miles shy of Ric's flight to the north.

Don't know if longer flights are possible in that direction. As last time, I hit a strong marine influence and NO lift after the penninsula narrowed around the state line.

Congrats to my Sky Goddess wife on her new PB flight of 45.3 miles.

Huge thanks to David Rice for volunteering to retrieve us. He said he was buliding up his HG karma.
