The forecast for Taylor's hill looks good for Saturday. I won't be able to get there until 11:30-12.
Anybody interested?

Re: Taylors Feb 6
Kinda/sorta interested, in the sense of getting two winter practice days accomplished. But I dunno.... The forecasts are definitely in flux. Will have a look tomorrow and then decide if I'm feelin' it, or not.
Late day at the Pulpit could also work, as mentioned in another topic. But 35 by late afternoon, clouding up as the system approaches. Not sure that's enough to entice me up there.
Let's see how things look in the morning!

Re: Taylors Feb 6
I think I'm going to hope for another Smithsburg practice day later this winter. It's only Feb 6th.
There's a bit of a SW swing in the forecast for the Pulpit by 3pm (just when the gust factor disappears on the NWS surface hourly, figures!). So not hugely interested in that option...
Sorry to bail on you Peter!

Looks like Anthony and me for Taylor's around noon.
Re: Taylors Feb 6
Me too. I was looking at TH when SB didn't look good. Few PG guys expected later in the afternoon.
Re: Taylors Feb 6
Taylor's turned out pretty good yesterday. Peter was there before me and one PG newbie (Brandon). As it was gusting until 2:40 so we waited. Then Peter did a launch and right behind him I did. Anthony was setting up his glider at the base of the hill at that time.
A bunch of PG guys showed up between 3 and 3:30. Wind calmed down and by 4:40 it was a trickle.
Peter flew twice, I flew 5 times and Anthony stole the show with 6 brilliant launches and power climbs back to launch.
It was a nice sight to see 3 HGs parked on the top and 4 PG guys with their wings, kiting and setting up to fly.
