Woodstock on Fri Oct 30 : NNW G18

Post by markc »

The NWS hourly is forecasting a NNW10G18 window on Friday, from about 2pm until sunset. Given that Monday is starting to look blown-out, this definitely has my attention. Tom and Gary are also considering.

The plan is to wait until the mid-morning forecast update to see if the NNW direction seems 'real', and make the call at that point.

Anyone else interested, and able to get away?

Sorry for the late update....

Tom couldn't get away. Gary's on the fence because of N cross concerns in the LZ. I'm on the fence because the ADDs 3k forecast shows conditions getting stronger towards sunset. Plus, I'm a little skeptical that the NNW will actually materialize.

And neither of us is calling the other: "Oh man, come on, it's gonna be epic, let's go!"

Looks like we're going to bail.
