Helping keep our only local flight park operating

Post by Joe Schad »

As most of you know the weather has not been good for hang gliding and paragliding this spring and now summer. The impact has been particularly bad for Blue Sky flight park. Steve normally can handle some bad weather days but this year he has had more no fly and no training days than any year since he opened the flight park. I am concerned that he may not be able to survive financially if this continues even for just a few more weeks.

I am asking you to consider providing some financial support for Blue Sky to insure we have a local flight park. I realize that some of you only fly the mountains but would ask you to consider a financial donation to keep flying options available for our larger US hang gliding and paragliding community.

I have not talked to Steve about my thoughts on this matter. I just have enjoyed having the option to fly at the flight park or the mountains for 18 years now and don't want us to loose another important flying and training park due to a long string of bad weather.

Thank you for your support.

Fly safe.

Joe
