Pulpit ramp repair Sunday 12/24

Post by silverwings »

I am intending on purchasing some replacement pressure treated 2 x 6 planks for missing/damaged boards on the old ramp and working on it Sunday. ETA about 1:30PM. Rich B will probably be helping but others are welcomed. I plan on screwing the boards in place and an additional battery powered drill would be helpful. Also, if anyone has a battery powered saw that would be a great help.

Thanks for doing the repairs! The holes in the ramp don't seem that bad until it's in use and everyone including the pilot is avoiding falling in one.

Rich B and I worked on the old ramp for about 3 hours and replaced 9 boards and shored up others. On the left side under side steel attachment from the walk-up to ramp a couple of weld attachments have broken loose and need to be re-welded in the future. We will tackle that in the future but the ramp is not going anywhere.

Thanks for all the work!
Unfortunately I have very little time off now in my new Gov job. But saving up time for Big Spring and more.
Might have to work weekend's too.
But, if weekend's, will be off two days during the week.
So, Ward and other "week flyers" can now count on me.
Will know which days by next week.

Definitely warm days.
Now able to fly during the week, having days off on Thursdays & Fridays for the next 6 months.
Weekends might be an option too, but not that easy... .
Happy New Year and stay warm.
