Woodstock Mon Oct. 16

Looks promising for Woodstock Mon. Oct. 16th. Temp drop of 10 deg between Sun an Mon should give some good "Canadian clipper" NW winds. Any interest? Gary

Saturday afternoon forecast updates are all indicating that Monday is going to be very good. Unless they change significantly, I should be at launch by 10.

Ugh! All of the forecasts are now predicting 20-20+ mph gusts during most of the day. Beyond my comfort level so I’m out.

Good old Woodstock will probably pull through again with lighter conditions later in the day. I don't want to launch/land into building conditions so I am still up for waiting it out.

Winds backed down considerably by sunset in Bethesda, hoping to hear that conditions turned out well at Woodstock!

Joe was set up when I arrived so we got him to launch at 1:00. Too gusty so he backed down and he had to leave for a dinner in Winchester at 4:00. Still strong but doable then. I bagged it but probably should have flown as there were cloud streets stretching as far west as I could see.
