Went to Bluesky today. Great thermals and would have been a perfect day for XC.
Though, we all stayed local and had two good flights up to cloud base, 4k.
We did truck towing.
Greg and John S, both had great flights.

Knut, congrats on good flying. I was wondering about the direction of the wind and if it was cross how did that effect the tows?

John,
It was cross east, but not consistent.
Very light and never a problem.
Due to thermals, the LZ wind did switch around from time to time.
My two longer flights, when the towing matched with thermal activity over LZ, climed fast up to cloudbase.
Could have parked under some clouds easily, flying for an hour probably, but branched out SE/S and N/NE, having to get back to LZ after 30 minutes each on two flights.
In any case, what about HG on Pulpit last Friday. Do you think we Hangies would have had a good chance?
What about HG at Edith Gap on Sunday?

I think HG at the Pulpit would have been fine because we were getting a lot of 7-10 mph on the pad. Edith's Gap LZ is too restrictive for HG.
