Hi Knut
I have a morning commitment but should be able to arrive by 11:30 - 12:00. I agree that earlier is better but that is the best I can do. I can help you launch when we arrive if that helps.

Re: Pulpit Wednesday
I don't recall it getting too cold to fly around the mid-Atlantic area. Plus, there is no snow to deal with right now. That could change quickly.

Arrived 11:15 am. Nice 6-8mph wind straight in on launch.
Walt arrived a few minutes later. Surprisingly warm day, sunny with great dark cumulus over us.
Tom arrived ½ hour later. Having already set up the wings, me and Walt drove down a car to the main LZ.
Getting back up to Pulpit, Walt launched first on the ramp and had a great launch. Though, he was not able to soar long and landed shortly after an extended sled.
I launched from the pad and had a 11 minutes’ short flight. Never really did get over the launch and had to finally land a the main LZ. Though, great to fly.
Tom launched last and flew perhaps for 20 minutes. He got 500 ft. above the launch, but it died out for him and had to land.
Again, weather was fantastic, considering it is December 28, 2016. It must have been 45-48F at the LZ and perhaps 38-40F at launch. Though, the sun really warmed you up a lot.
Glad I could fly today and to bad no PG’s was at Pulpit today. They would probably have smoked us all today.

Re: Pulpit Wednesday
Like Knut said, the day was surprisingly warm.
It was good to be out and fly. My flight was very short.
Once again, I would like to thank Knut and Tom for helping me take off from the ramp. According to them, I had a good launch. As soon as I took off I turned left and I saw I was already below he ridge I got a few pumps on the route 16 and in a field close to the secondary LZ, but I did not have the courage to play around since I was already kind of low. Decided to land and had a safe land. It was the 1st time I landed in the secondary LZ.
Hopefully, we may be able to find again in 2016 if not, I wish you all a wonderful 2017!
