Pulpit Sat or Sun for PG? (11/5-11/6)

Post by Jon K »

How does Pulpit look for PG on Sat or Sun this week? I am seeing a little strong on Saturday and a little too north on Sunday but I have only flown there a few times and I am not sure I am looking at it correctly. Thanks for the help.

Looks a little too strong for PG. We typically don't fly unless surface forecast is 7mph or less. Also, winds aloft on Saturday are too high. Sunday is a little lighter, so could work, but most PG will go to Woodstock where winds will be lighter.

Look at 3000 ft winds. Dark blue is typically too high for PG.

Thank you. How does woodstock look for Saturday or Sunday? Can you break down the forecast for me? Thank you. Woodstock is a little far but would love to fly there.

Check out http://weather.nostepper.com/ for Woodstock.

You want NW winds. Saturday looks slightly better/lighter winds. I can only fly Sunday and it looks a little strong at altitude. However, we just revamped our launch at Woodstock and there's some site maintenance to do, so regardless of the forecast I'm going to go check it out and do some maintenance and bring my wing and hope it's flyable.
