Pulpit Sunday 10/30
Looking pretty good and warm so far. Hope that keeps the winds within reason to allow lotsa flying this coming Sunday. Been too long between flights for many of us. Bacil

Looks more than promising. Looks as good as it could get for the end of October: 75 degrees, west winds 10 to 15 MPH. Looks soarable from noon til sunset. Bacil

I plan to get there around 9:30 - 10. Forecast is for scattered thunderstorms in the afternoon.

Re: Pulpit Sunday 10/30
Only Tim and Charley flew with slight extended sleds to the primary for Tim and the secondary for Charlie. Mostly cloudy with winds that were some what SW cross but with launchable cycles. Storms from the NW came through at 3:20 PM.

Re: Pulpit Sunday 10/30
As John reported, I had an extendo to the primary LZ. I volunteered to be the wind dummy. I haven't flown since the end of July when I crunched my down tube and damaged my keel. My main goal was a good launch, set myself up to bail to the secondary LZ or head down the ridge to make the primary. I rode the ridge down to the Route 16 cut. The whole ride down was met with good southerly component. When I hit some good sink I decided to head out to the primary. After my previous landing when I got popped on my flare, I was determined to have a good landing today. It was a 2 or 3 stepper.....I was totally satisfied.
BTW, after I crunched my down tube and keel, I felt it was a good time for a sail-off inspection and chute re-pack at Blue Sky. It took a little longer than normal since the first keel and down tube that was shipped got run over with a fork lift at the freight company.
