Looks pretty good again. Direction and speed not too bad. Highland Challenge may be located there. Bacil

Have been communicating with the local experts this Friday evening and are going to Pulpit tomorrow, Saturday 16nd.
It is predicted that it might be best between 3-5 pm.
Planning to arrive around 11:00 am, unless the forecast change 180°.

Knut, I’m rooting for your local experts but the other guys (those that get paid to make weather predictions) over the last 12 hrs have already completed their “180”. At 6:15 this morning, the Pulpit casts for Saturday look really good but now I’m hoping for another 180 by these guys by tomorrow morning. Just another example of how 24 to 48hr plus predictions are “sketchy”.

Once again, hoping for the best!

I see W@5-10 on the NWS and NOAA sfc forecasts for much of tomorrow, as of 9pm Fri. That is enough to throw the glider on the truck tonight, with hopes that things won't be radically different as of tomorrow AM.

Curious what people are seeing which has them down about tomorrow. Yeah, looks a bit cloudier than we'd like at the Pulpit tomorrow... But given the choice of Sat vs Sun, Pulpit seems like the best bet thus far.

Still planning to head to the Pulpit today. Even lighter winds are forecast for tomorrow.

Hourly is calling for a tad WSW, but as long as it doesn't get worse, should be ok. Will check forecast updates from the road.

Anybody going today to Pulpit? To the best of my knowledge, perhaps two pilots? HG on the car and hoping to go to Pulpit.
CG, will you be there in the afternoon? Ward and Mark?
E Ville to fare perhaps?

Argh, the sfc map from TWC was just updated, and they've magically relocated the front : Previously it was past the Pulpit, now it isn't . :x

If it's super slow to move, then that could make for more of a SW day than a WSW->NW day.

Well.... Hmmm. I still think I'll give it a look.
