Remember, we lost the main LZ yesterday. Hopefully that's only temporary.

Walt,
Would love to fly tomorrow at WS, Friday; but have to work. To bad!
Glad to hear that the bridge field now is an option, as suppose to the old LZ.
For Sunday (WS): Watching the forecast and should know more by tomorrow.

Was a good day at Woodstock. There were four of us there. David from Grove City, Pa was there first and almost setup by the time I got there a 1230. Winds were mostly straight in 8 to 11 or 12. David launched first around 1:30. Good launch and soared for a bit before heading out to the bridge field to land. I launched a little before 2 and scratched a bit. Mostly thermal lift in front. I managed to get to 4200msl over the bridge and finger south and landed with 1h18min. Great day. John and Walt arrived as I was getting on launch. They followed about an hour later and landed in the bridge field as well. Nice clear day.

It was my 1st flight from the mountains with the Sport 2 I bought 1 year ago from Rich. Steve made a nice shoulder pads that allowed me to control easily the glider. Jon helped on the wire. As Joe indicated the winds were nice and straight. The weather was fantastic: not cold as expected. I flew for 1 hour after having a very good take off. I did not get very high - only 800 above the tour - but high enough to arrive safely on the bridge field for good landing.
Again, specially thanks for Jon for helping on the wire and Steve for the shoulder pads.
