Meteoric Backpacking 8/15

We're planning on going backpacking out at the Dolly Sods this weekend to see the Perseid Meteor Shower-- unless it looks like a perfect Woodstock Day on Saturday or the forecast calls for clouds or rain. About a six mile hike in and 10 miles out to make a loop.

Did the Perseids deliver as promised?

It was cloudy where I live and I couldn't see them.
