The Boy Who Flew With Condors

Yeah, I remember that "Wonderful World of Disney" show which, I just found,
aired on 1967/02/19.

Chris Jury who, at age 17, played himself had three years prior with 22.5K
failed to break an official junior altitude gain record by enough margin to make
the books and died a few years later in a non sail plane crash.

Wow---very cool! Thanks Tad for finding that. At least now I have a name to go along with my memory. That movie obviously inspired many others besides myself to fly---when I Googled the title I found many hits related to current pilots who mentioned it as one of their earliest inspirations.

I'd love to find a copy of it and watch it again...that's the next "mission!"
