I have off Friday and I planned to fly, but my company unexpectly notified me that I need to travel on Monday for a 4 week job assignment in Hawaii.

Anyone know of locations to rent a glider in Hawaii?

Good day. Jim dropped me off in a thermal just southeast of the airpark at ~1:30 pm that took me to just over 3K msl. Should have stayed with it but decided to leave and head for an impressive looking cloud near Greensboro. Found nothing but smooth 200 - 300 fpm down under it so I headed back without finding any lift for the rest of the short but sweet flight. Headed home early. Both Richard M. (Brit_in_SoMD) and Steve Kinsley stuck and had the flights of the day off of tows that started after 3pm. Here’s one photo taken on my glide back to Highland. Used my drogue chute and I’ll post my impressions on another thread.
