MHGA sponsored support of Region 9 Hang Gliding: Fall, Winter and Spring Events*
1. Highland Aerosports Meeting and Towing Seminar (October, 2014 and March, 2015).
In recognition of Highland’s efforts to enhance Region 9 hang gliding, the MHGA is honored to sponsor both an informal meeting/party on the Saturday afternoon/evening of October 18th (weather depending with the 25th as backup) and a towing focused safety seminar (presented by the Highland Crew) to be held on March 21st or 28th of 2015. Details concerning meeting dates and seminar details will follow (both events will be held at Highland Aerosports).
2. MHGA is also planning a series of group discussions during the “cold/dark” months that will focus on:
1. The science/art of predicting flying conditions 24, 48 or 72 hrs before flying.
2. Mountain flying – how seasonal dynamics affect where and when we fly.
3. The latest gliders (beginner to advanced), instruments and safety equipment.
* For all who want to participate (MHGA membership not required). Although most of our discussions will focus on HG related topics, PG pilot participation is also welcomed.
