It has been many years since I have seen an HG pilot flyin' supine. Thank you Bacil for sharing the link.
I'll send the link to my neighbor (currently a supine PG pilot who used to be a prone HG pilot).
Enjoyed the transparent wing shadow from the Falcon on final!

I could be mistaken, but I believe this style of flying is actually called "suprone", rather than supine as true "supine" would be hanging with feet below the basetube and requires a change in the length of the side flying wires. I've flown with Wayne since the 80's and he used to fly supine, but switched to suprone after enough sketchy launches and landings convinced him (and the cost of replacing downtubes) that it was the better choice. Apparently, the lengthening of the hang straps and your weight being further below the wing flying supine gives you less pitching moment and makes for more difficult landings. If you notice in the video, he still has handles attached to the back of his downtubes to aid in the "poosh-out", although they aren't needed so much when flying suprone and he didn't use them for the landing in the video. Watching Wayne land back in the day was always an exciting proposition!

Very cool.
Flying that glider will give you a sun burn. (Neck and back of legs prone)
