Re: Saturday
There were light cycles blowing through with periods of stillness. Justin and I each got two extendos/sled rides. Mathew, Karen, Sandy and EJ (two new p2's) came after my first flight. We did some work on the slot. It looks much better. Justin and I left after the second flight (we both did frontals) at about 4:30pm. The hopeful four were still on launch when we left, hoping for a glassoff. I will let them tell their story.

Re: Saturday
Terminology correction- Justin and I did forward inflations and launches. This type of launch is used in light wind conditions. In higher wind conditions rear facing inflations and forward launches are employed. A frontal is a type of collapse where the leading edge of the wing collapses. An important difference . Sorry about the aphasic episode.

Sleds!
Actually I got 9 whole minutes and made one pass on the ridge.
EJ got 10 minutes.

Re: Saturday
Conditions at Highland were challenging, with many pilots, self included, having three sleds.
Those in Charlie's weekend XC comp did well : might have been one of those days when you had to get away from the immediate area to find something.
There was one window in which some pilots got perhaps an hour... And I timed my last flight for that window.... But I found nothing off tow, and had lost visual with those who were sticking. Base was low, and so the tows were up into gaps where there was enough clearance. Hence losing visual on where other pilots were doing pretty well, sigh.
On the plus side, finally had a truly solid tow on the new wing, feeling like I was back on top of things. Followed by a textbook landing. So I was smiling in spite of the lack of airtime.
