Launched approx. at 2:30 into 5 to 10 mph winds, strong and sharp edged thermals, high cirrus clouds with no cummies. Max agl - 1500 ft, landed voluntarily after surfing a line of lift out into the valley. Picked a large green field. The wind speed had increased and I did not want to rock and roll in the main lz. An enjoyable day. Approx 1 hr of airtime.
