After years of negotiation, MHGA and CHGPA have finally agreed to merge.
The new club is the Mid-Atlantic Paragliding and Hang Gliding Association.
The Board of Directors are all paraglider pilots with Tom Cuenen as Prez and Lazlo as Vice Prez.
The newly formed club has acted quickly regarding the Observer and site ratings issue. It has been agreed that “ratings! We don’t need no stinkin’ ratings!" All of the sites are now completely unregulated!!
No more nanny state and all this worrying about silly, old safety.
It’s a Free country—We’re FREE FLIGHT! We’re Free Baby, FREE!!!
Except for dues—dues have been raised to $200 per year—effectively immediately—
Because…
The club has purchased the Mountain House Bar at the Pulpit and is turning it into a clubhouse. Bacil Dickert will be the full time manager. He mentioned something about instituting a butt-less chaps policy at the clubhouse. I hope he’s referring to the waitresses and not himself. The clubhouse will, as per Bacil’s wishes, be painted purple and orange.
