The Montgomery County Airport Association (MCAA) is having their annual summer picnic and airport fun day July 9th 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm! It's an event where they try to bring in together people from the GA community and general public and have static aircraft displays, raffles, prizes, games, music. It's held at the Montgomery County Airport in Gaithersburg.
Last year at that event, Ralph, Linda and I setup my glider and a small table with a TV playing hg and pg videos. People were coming up to chat and pick up some brochures. There was interest from the public (although I don't know if anyone followed through). This year they are anticipating a larger turnout. They have asked me if CHGPA would like to set something up this year. I won't be able to make it, but it would be great if some people volunteered.
