I taught at Smitshburg on Sunday with 3 students. Also John A flying hg and Peter H and another pg pilot. Crop (alfalfa) in the LZ is getting to the point that this should be the last flying there until the fall. As we were finishing setting up Peter had a pretty nice PG flight with a new wing soaring a bit. I expected (according to the forecasts) that it would be flyable there until 3:00 and it sort of worked out that way. Was windier at times than expected especially around 12:00 and winds got lighter starting by 1:30/2:00 and a little later starting be variable with all kinds of directions. My students (Trevor, Dan, Eric) did fine and had 8 - 11 flights each.
