Taylor's Farm Memorial Day

Post by XCanytime »

Looking to get there early before the heat builds and get the first hop(s) on the Sport 2. Sounds like John M. might not be teaching a class there so would prefer some company. Bacil

How early, Bacil? What time are you planning to get there?

Temps wil be high (80+ F ) but winds look perfect at 5-10 SSW. Bring plenty of water.

It was hot and lots of water was drunk to combat heat exhaustion. Ward graciously offered to come along and we got there just after 10A to find Cragin setting up on the spine. I put in 4 windsocks and Ward put in a few streamers. I set up in the shade at the bottom and got in 3 flights. Cragin got in a few good flights as well. Jesse showed up and did a good Kevin Carter imitation running back up part of the slope after one landing. John had a class of I believe 4 students and it was neat to watch the newbies fly. A pair of mature bald eagles visited overhead briefly before climbing out. It was good to be back at Taylor's after a 9 year absence. Bacil

Ward was so helpful, he even used my camera to video several flights. Here are my second and third flights, and one each by Bacil and Jesse.
