Bill's Hill Today

Haven't been there yet, maybe today. How do you drive to the top, it's not clear looking at GE.

To Soar! After wack! Rise of the phoenix! Well if bending a bent down tube back after sleder/wack isint as miraculous as the story, the soaring flight after was awesome! Flew up high enough to get comfortable to zoom along ridge basically staying around launch flew well over some hawks allways cool to see landed on the wheels nicely after bad approach from learning from first high grass landing. However 2 nd approach sucked compared to my first which I nailed and came up shorter than I wanted in the high grass again. Flared real hard as soon as those buds started hitting the base tube and rolled to stop. Got a lil airsick with KFC / bumpy air / harness too far tiltedown combo hah what a day thanks everyone

Very good day at Bill’s! It was my first so it was really special for me (Bill’s was discovered after I took my “vaykay” from HG back in the 80s). Thanks to Karen, Judy, Matthew, Matt Young, Bacil, Carlos and Larry for helping me get the most out of the day! The photos were selected to show the northern and southern flanking gaps, what’s out in front, what’s over the back and the primary LZ. I took off after Larry and Carlos at ~2:30 PM and stayed in the air for 2 and a quarter hrs. The ridge-lift was consistent and the thermals were equivalent to a good day at Woodstock (amazing for a easterly day). My highest climb up to 5.85K MSL came ~ 1 hr into the flight. Matthew soared with his PG and other PGers were getting ready to fly when I left for home. Ward
