Area training hills?

Post by darbbb »

I know Smithsburg is closed by now. Is Kirshner's Knob open and flyable? Other places that are more in the western part of the region? Thanks.

Hopefully someone else will respond about Kirshner's. It was open last year.

There's Long Hill in Luray, VA. Or are you talking something more northwestern?

Thanks for the reply. I'm in western MD, so I'm looking for what's close. Smithsburg is closest, but it's shut down by now. Anyway, thanks.

Have you been my Smithsburg and know that it is closed? It probably is but no one has said they have checked. Kirshners Knob is available but I haven't been there since last fall so am not sure about the grass situation. Will probably go there in the next few weeks to mow.

John

I don't know for sure about Smithsburg. I was just going by the site guide, which says it closes mid-April. I will check it out when conditions are good. Thanks.
