A cloud dive at Hyner is fun, but these German guys really go for it.

Re: German cloud dive
Actually I'd call that pretty close to the Hyner experience on a good day if you are one of the first couple to launch. They seem to have a little bit more altitude to work with.

Wow, I REALLY love the hang gliding community. Y'all have to see this e-mail I received today rom Winfried Oswald , as a result of sharing the video, above.
Dear Cragin,
Thank you for embedding my "november fog" video clip on the CHGPA forum.
This brought me a lot of clicks, and quite unexpected, from the United states.
Regularly I get much more attention from Europe and Asia.
As regular reader in Davis´ ozreport I have heard the name of Hyner view, but don´t know how much altitude You get to burn down there.
In Neumagen, near Trier in the Mosel valley, where we captured the flight, we have 268 m which is about 800 ft from the ramp to the landing pasture.
So not very much.
The secret why we could go out above the clouds so early?
Because the warm water of the Mosel river induced a permanent opening where we could dive through and enter the landing which is located just along the water line.
The Video captures from Sascha, the Laminar Z9 buddy, are made up much more artfully here

A bit of surprised did I see You being localized in "Frankonia", which would be a region in Germany,
where I flew last weekend http://www.abschweb.de/fleunde/windfried/walberla.htm
I wonder why I didn´t meet You there
If You ever come to western Germany and want to get some air, do not hesitate to contact me.
Best regards,
