I returned to my house today after a two week business trip and no flying. The TSA had opened my PG bag, so I needed to check to see if they had unpacked my freshly-packed reserve.
The grass badly needed cutting, but the mower was broken down (again), so I decided to pull out the wing and kite for awhile. Winds were a perfect 10-15 from the North, coming straight up the shallow slope in front of my house.
I learned that if I can carefully kite back up the hill between two trees and run REALLY fast, I can get airborn and make little gliding flights down my front yard. It was so cool, I just could not stop. I think I made about 10 of these hops.
It sure was better than cutting the lawn.
