P2 observers needed
Hi, Is there a list of names and contact for P2 observers? WHich ones can observe during weekdays? At which site? Etc... Really need some P2 help. Thanks.
Re: P2 observers needed
Hi Guy,
This Forum Group has a list of all the P2 observers who are registered in the forums. I created it a while ago, so it could be a bit outdated.... But hopefully it's a starting point!

Jim is no longer an observer. The USHPA site has the most up to date list by Region. We're Region 9. I'm one of them!

Re: P2 observers needed
Hi, Guy-
The "local" Reg 9 PG observers include Matthew Graham, Hugh McElrath, Laszlo Lovei, Ellis Kim, Matt Ingram and Tom Ceunen. As Matt mentioned, their contact info is listed on the USHPA web site. I would start with Ellis, Matt and Matthew as they are currently the most active at mentoring new pilots.
Midweek flying:
The USHPA website also has a listing for Peter Humes, an instructor who might be available to observe midweek.
Which sites are they willing to observe:
That's not fixed enough to put down on a list and will vary with conditions, your experience and their other commitments.
You asked about Daniel's in a different post. That's a SSW site near Stanardsville, VA approx 20 miles north of Charlottesville. Information on Daniel's and most of the other sites in the Mid-Atlantic is available in a site guide in the member's only section of the CHGPA webstie: http://www.chgpa.org/Members/members.html. If you don't have the password for that, send me a PM and I'll share it with you. The sites most commonly flown by PG'ers are Bill's Hill, Daniel's Mountain, Dickey Ridge, Pulpit and Woodstock (Fisher Road and Jack's Mountain, less often). You'll see HG'ers making plans for Sacramento and High Rock, but those sites are currently not launchable in a PG.
Hope this answers your questions. Feel free to drop me a line if you need anything else.
Best,
Daniel

This edits over a duplicate of the above post, not sure how that happened. ~Daniel
