Looking ahead to Saturday, I'm seeing forecasts calling for 50% or 60% chance of rain. So I'm toying with throwing the glider on the truck tomorrow, and heading out to Woodstock late in the afternoon. The 3k 'cast doesn't look all that bad, but the NWS surface cast is saying "gusts to 30", so there's definitely a chance that conditions could be blown-out. But if not.....
Anyone else thinking of giving it a try?

Forecast today for the Pulpit called for high chance of rain. There was very defined raining cloud banks here and there in the valleys on the way up, but none were over launch when we were there. I bet it's similar at Woodstock. On Wednesday, I was in Winchester and there were huge storm cells all over, with clear sky in between. This is all to say don't be too scared by a rainy forecast this weekend. There will be dry patches if you're willing to wait for them.

Hmmm..... The front is pushing through at WStock right now, but the winds aren't forecast to swing (slightly) north of W until 6pm, and there's a lot of cloud cover moving in. And it looks like we will have plenty of NW + cloudy tomorrow, without having to any take time off!
But still, the glider's on the truck, and I'd be willing to give it a go if anyone else wants to.
