After logging his hours and impressing us with his flying, but most importantly showing good judgment regarding his skills and how they apply to the weather conditions, Petr earned his P3 rating today.
Personally, I think having learned to assess one's own skills and to incorporate good judgment when deciding if it is appropriate to launch, how close to scratch, if there is enough room to do a 360, knowing to talk to people who might have more knowledge or information, etc. is an essential attitude and skill for continuing to grow as a pilot in our sport.
I am sure Petr will continue to show good risk management as he continues to push the envelope to increase his knowledge and flying skills.
Congratulations Petr!
