Looks like Wednesday will be post-frontal, with a building WNW forecast (as of Monday evening). From a time-off standpoint, my preference would be for a sunset flight at High Rock: with an early start to the day, I could be up there by about 3pm and only have to take a couple hours of vacation/leave. But I also realize that The Rock could be a bit of a gamble unless we are sure to have enough pilots for crew, both afternoon and later. So I could perhaps be argued into Woodstock.... But then there's that bull to worry about in the main LZ! Hmmm.
Anyway, just wanted to get Wednesday on people's radar, let's hope that the weather points us decisively one way or another
I'm free full time the next couple weeks till school starts, so I'm looking to fly fly fly!!
I haven't flown High Rock yet nor gotten the site introduction/ met Emmy Jane, etc. Any observers available?
On the Woodstock note, is there another suitable LZ without a bull? How about the field just beyond the primary, next to the drive in, where topless or rigid wings sometimes land?
Woodstock is looking better and better for tomorrow. But unfortunately, I must have been temporarily insane last night when I posted, there's just no way that I'm going to be able to take some time off this week, in the middle of a production crunch. Don't know what I was thinking.
Jesse, if you go, I'll be envious. Will keep my fingers crossed that others will be able to get away....
