*New H3*

Congratulations from all and suitable obeisance and groveling by remaining lowly novice pilots to Valerie, who passed the rigorous Intermediate Hang-glider Pilot written exam with aplomb. She had to endure several hours of bloviating by yours truly as I dispensed alleged wisdom and flying stories.

The H3 rating is the most imporatant and serious rating you can get. Why? Because it allows you to fly the vast majority of the sites in the US without supervision; you call the shots. There are very few H4 sites out there.

Congratulations on your rating; call those shots wisely.

Thanks for all the congrats! I'm really excited! Now if only the weather would cooperate ...

I'm still flying my Falcon, and expect to be conservative in my flying decisions, but am very relieved not to be limited to days when an Observer is available. I look forward to seeing you all in the air!
