Heads Up! Beware of forum outages...

We're having some 'issues' with our web hosting provider, which are preventing us from paying our April invoice. Trouble-ticket submitted, and one would expect that any account suspensions would be put on-hold until the payment problems are resolved.... But I'm a bit skeptical, and wouldn't be all that surprised if our account is suddenly treated as overdue. If that happens, everything goes down, and there will be no forum access.

So if you need to coordinate on something important (eg, the KiteFest), you might want to have phone numbers on-hand so that you can take care of it in-person, rather than on-line.

Ok, payment problems resolved and there shouldn't be any forum or website downtime. But there's been an ownership change with our web hosting provider... Which could be bad or could be good, no way to predict. I'll be more aggressive about backups and prepare for a possible switch to a new provider, just in case. But be aware that photo attachments to forum posts are nearing 1 GB. Backing that data up and downloading over a (relatively) slow connection is a pain, and might not be done as frequently as other backups. So you might want to identify forum-related photos in some way that will allow you to re-attach them to relevant posts, should that ever become necessary.

All will probably be well, but it can't hurt to be prepared.
