Small Worls Again

Post by CraginS »

I'm on a road trip to Arkansas and Oklahoma with my brother and cousin for 10 days. We are going to attend a Cherokee History class this coming week in Tahlequah OK, capital of the Cherokee Nation. Cousin Knox lives in Dardanelle, Arkansas, almost in the shadow of Mount Nebo. Saturday afternoon, the three of us took a run over to the local shooting range for some .22 plinking, We passed right past a Nebo LZ on the way home, and there were half a dozen pilots packing up gliders right by the fence. We stopped so I could say hello. Among the local pilots I ran into Bob B, who had driven over from Memphis. Bob looked familiar, and reminded me we had met before. Well, we had; first at Blue Sky in August 2006, then again at Quest in February 2007, when he was down there to buy Lauren;s glider. Our sport continues to prove itself small, friendly, and full of coincidences!

I'll be back in town about teh 19th,m and m looking forward to April flying.
