Heads Up! Forum Software Update Approaches....

Just a quick heads-up that I'm planning an upgrade of our forum software to phpBB 3.0.8
sometime in the near future. These things happen when the stars are aligned and when
I'm feeling lucky, so I'm not going to commit to a specific date.... Could be this weekend
or early next week. The forums will be down during the update: for a couple of hours, or for
more than that if there are problems. You probably won't notice much afterwards: the update
addresses security issues and fixes relatively obscure bugs. Exciting eh?

it was sort of surprising to see such a recent post here. this matter just came to mind for some reason and i thought i'd come on to sort of lead a cheer or something. apparently, mark isn't laboring in total obscurity.

The forum update is completed : Original timetable didn't happen due to getting slammed
by the flu, but feeling better now.

Almost managed to blow away all the attachments, in spite of going slowly... But I'm
paranoid, so recovering from my mistake was no biggie.

I'll leave this topic up for a bit longer : If you run into any problems, please report them here.
