new board member needed

Hi fellow CHGPA pilots,

I am resigning from the board. My life has not allowed me to do the position justice. I have barely been able to keep up with the forum. So it would be better for the club if someone else took over.

Therefore, there is a position open for a board member with the following responsibilities:
[*]attend board and club meetings
[*]voice your opinions and vote at board meetings
[*]keep minutes of the member and board meetings and post them in the members only section - you may delegate this duty
[*]issue a regular newsletter - you may also delegate this duty

If you wish to volunteer for this position, please let it be known at the Christmas party on Friday (button hole David Churchill, our acting president)
If there is more than one volunteer, there will be an election.

A note to new pilots/members: Please do not let your relative newness to the club deter you from volunteering. A rating of H3/P3 (or even H2/P2) is not needed for this position. New ideas and energy is what we need in this club. Here is a chance to help shape the club to your vision.

Here in the MD/DC/VA Area we are blessed with many great flying sites and opportunities. It all happens thanks to people like you who pitch in, make stuff happen, and is largely made possible the umbrella of the CHGPA organization. Whether you are a new pilot or a veteran of the board, this is a good opportunity to pitch in, step up to gain valuable non-profit leadership experience with a low-stress position of high honor and esteem*.
