Amy and I headed to Ridgley for some towing on Monday. We each got three flights in which were mostly all sled rides. Our first flights were around 1:00pm and there was a little bit of thermal activity but nothing either of us could figure out how to stay in. There wasn't any other pilots flying when we got there as I guess the weak thermal forecast kept them away. After our first flights the wind ramped up a bit so we sat in the shade under the wing of the Dragonfly and talked with Sunny, Adam, and Zack. They are a great group of guys and we really enjoyed talking with them. We picked up lots of useful flying info and also had some laughs. Our second two flights were smooth sled rides, but none then less fun as hell !!! We packed up while there was still some daylight left and headed home. A great ending to a fun flying weekend!
... and I landed on my feet I have been working on putting everything together... the complete flying 'package'. Yesterday I was REALLY concentrating on my landings- flare timing and footwork technique has been a major hang up for me lately. But, it seems to be coming together now.
I just heard from John M. that my Falcon 145 has been shipped. I am so excited... it won't be long till it is here! Woo hoo!!
