I've opted for Sunday's lighter winds over the better blip-maps for Saturday that Dr. Jack
was calling for.... I guess I'll find out tomorrow if that was a good idea or not.
Heading out early tomorrow AM, hopefully on the road by 8:30 or so.

Well, one lesson learned.... Don't believe the second-day-out Dr. Jack's forecast.
Saturday's was good, but Sunday's wasn't terrible, a bit lighter. I figured the lighter
forecast winds on Sunday might make up the difference. WRONG! Totally inverted
today, top-of-lift at about 2100 MSL.
Oh well, you take what you can get! I flew three times, first flight was the best
at about 30 minutes, bouncing between 1300 and 2k a few times. The second
and third were both 15-20 minutes. Guess I can't complain, at least they weren't
sleds.
Pretty good crowd: Carlos, Christian, Valerie, Travis, Kirk, Paul A, plus a number
of students and lots of intro tandems. A couple of first-flights in new gliders, and
there might have been a first-solo early in the morning. Definitely a better day
than I had feared after seeing the scuz-layer on the drive out. And some good
practice trying to core zero while waiting for something better to blow through!
Did anyone give The Pulpit a try? Would be good to have that data point....
