The club received a notice from the family of Santos Mendoza.
Some of you may remember him. Here it is in its entirety:
On November 27, 2009, Santos H. Mendoza of Fairfax, Va, died after a courageous battle with congestive heart failure. He is survived by his partner Gail Bell, his daughter Nichohl, son in law Christopher wise, his two grand daughters Particia and Susai of Staten Island, NY and two stepsons Joseph and Antonio Rivera.
Friends and family are gathering to honor his life on Saturday, December 5th, 2009 at 2:00 pm at the Celebration Center for Spiritual Living, located at 2840 Graham Road, Falls Church, VA 22042, telephone 703.560.2030.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Celebration Center for Spiritual Living for the Mendoza-Wise Family Fund at the address above.

He was a bit of a character and a nice guy, always interesting to talk to. He was deeply affected by the scooter towing incident that cost a life; but never avoided it, sometimes bringing it up himself as a way for people who didn't recognize him to put him in context. I respected him for that honesty.
