Blue Sky sunday 6/7

Post by mikecosner »

good turnout sunday at blue sky. everyone trucked towed. peter k, sonic bob, coz, andrew, john, ray, mike from cville. The forecast showed 2-300 up, winds were light south.

Peter towed up first around 12:30 and scratched in 50-75 up around 1000ft for 30 min before getting up. He eventually specked out and returned 2.5 hrs later. He said most lift was 100-200 up with a few boomers out there.

Everyone else fought to get up off the truck with tows around 800-900 ft with light winds. Everyone extended some and agreed the lift was small and light. Mike from cville got 30-40 min and up to 2100 over the field.

Cool. I intend to get up (or down if it's next month) to Blue Sky this summer to get on truck tow training.
I've just been having too much fun in the mountains.
You know, my very first HG experience was with you at Kitty Hawk Kites - June 16, 2007.
And you didn't scare me out of the sport! I started lessons with John Middleton 2 weeks later.
Maybe I'll see you around this summer.
Peace,
Dan Tuckwiller (dying to get out of Charlotte, NC)
