Flying 5/17
Anyone interested in flying today? It looks like it could be doable at Woodstock this afternoon.

Well... like they say... Ya won't know unless ya go. John and I are meeting in the LZ at 1430. Winchester KOKV reporting NNW @12MPH... gusting to 20. Local reports (Stetphens City) are NNW at 11. Hope to see y'all out there.... and hope we get to fly.

Re: Flying 5/17
Conditions were pretty gusty on launch (LZ was fine) during the afternoon, so John and I broke down the gliders.... didn't launch. Tom and Peter showed up and launched around 7 during a calm cycle, and had a good 45-60 minute flight before landing. Glad someone got some airtime today. Too much for me today.

Pete and I had nice flights at Woodstock. Winds finally dropped off around 7:00. Conditions were light on launch on in the LZ. Winds aloft were fine but north cross.
We owe a big thanks to Tony for driving back up to launch after packing up and getting his car from the LZ. He also waited for us to land in the bridge field and brought Pete back to launch to retrieve our truck. Thanks again Tony.
Going to the Sac today.
