I could be convinced, finished exams today. Looks solid but north. Tried to call you, Marc, and got an automated vm. Not sure I have a current number. Give me a call: 301-275-6584.

Cheers,

Steve, Marc and me at High Rock

It sure looked promising…

Marc went first on his attack falcon, launching right into a thermal and beaming up. Woohoo. A short while later, he was on the ground.
I went next. Never got above launch and extendo'd. Found lift in the usual places -- the rock pile, the railroad tracks, the house past the tracks -- strong at times, but broken. I couldn’t core anything.

As is often the case, Steve showed us it could be done. Taking one thermal to 1600 over, but had to leave it as he was back by the towers. That was his only good ride, but he still managed an hour.

Everyone’s launches and landings were fine. The grass is starting to get high but you can still run out a landing for now.

Felt awesome to get back in the air. It had been a while.

Pat Halfhil, Steve Walko, John "Homer" McCallister, and i flew High Pt, yesterday. Homer had the flight of the day getting to over 8000' msl and making it almost to Winchester, VA for 38 miles. I got low a few times, but also got to 7500' at one point after digging myself out of a hole and landed near Slanesville, WV for 21.6 miles. Pat and Steve stayed local, but both gobs of airtime and altitude. It was a blue day and somewhat challenging at times, but quite fun!!!
