Mike Barber will be in town

Post by RedBaron »

Just got off the phone with Mike. He'll be at Ridgely soon, possibly next week. Mike teaches advanced XC flying and does wonders for people like me who truly suck at XC. His XC clinic is extensive (2 days at least) and consists of two parts, ground school and flying.
Costs are a bit on the pricey side but can be greatly reduced by attending in greater numbers. Also, you don't have to do both. Let me know if you're interested. In the unlikely case you don't know, Mike is a world-class comp pilot. I consider this a massive, one-time opportunity, but that's just me.

Cheers

Mike is famous for his ability to improve people's XC skills. He held a ground school at the Tennessee Tree Toppers meet last fall that was well worth attending on its own. I regret not taking advantage of the opportunity to get a lesson in the air with him. I will next chance I get.

I encourage everybody except the guys who are going to compete with me in the Sport class of next summer's East Coast Challenge to sign up with him if you can.

I flew an XC clinic with Paris Williams back in '06 and it was the best time/money I've spent in HG. Do it if you can... you won't regret it.
