Hi all,
Finally a club date where I'm in town! I moved here the summer of '06. I met several of your members in San Diego and La Salinas on your spring trip, just before Sparky moved to CO. I was in New England for a long time, but flew mostly in Mexico in winters. I was lucky last year to get to Iquique and Costa Rica. I'm here most of this summer, so am looking forward to some flying finally in mid East Coast.
See you at the club meeting.
Cheers

2 questions from a newbie:
1) Are there a few folks who primarily fly during the week rather than the weekends?
2) Are there fine sites where you can hang around for a few days waiting for good conditions? I'm thinking of Bolair WV after browsing around. I sleep in the car.
Thanks
Mike

Hi Mike,

Lazlo and Tom are always taking off mid-week to fly. And check the hang gliding forum. Steve K. and Bruce often fly mid-week.

For a a few days away, contact Dwayne McCourt at http://www.flywv.com.

Looking to hookup to fly Sun-Tues next weekend. Early thought of 4 days in Bolair didn't work as Dwayne was away the weekend. I can do the Smithsonian show Sat. if needed...

Btw, Elizabeth Furnace Campground in the George Washington National Park is close to both Woodstock (NW) and Dickey's Ridge (Shenandoah Park, you need a permit to fly there, check the CHGPA site)

p.s. LE flies during the week as well.
